DALLAS, Tex. – Holigan Racing has a new driver for the #50 Enzyte car,
and the team will make NASCAR marketing history during the NASCAR Busch Series
race on June 19. Those were the major points announced today by Michael Holigan,
owner of Holigan Racing, which is sponsored by Berkeley Premium Nutraceuticals,
the country’s leading provider of quality nutraceuticals.
Smith, 20, will begin driving for Holigan Racing’s #50 Team Enzyte in
the team’s next race, the June 12 Federated Auto Parts 300 at Nashville,
Tenn. Team Enzyte is running a partial NASCAR Busch Series season this year,
preparing for a full-season assault in 2005.
During the June 19 race at Kentucky Speedway, Berkeley will become the first
corporation to promote three of its products on three different cars in a single
NASCAR race of any division. Besides Smith’s Enzyte Chevrolet, Stanton
Barrett will drive the Rogisen Pontiac, and Shawna Robinson will drive the
Berkeley Premium Nutraceuticals is the trusted brand for consumers who want
non-prescription options for maintaining and improving their health. Enzyte
is the once-daily tablet for natural male enhancement. Rogisen supports improved
night vision and helps prevent macular degeneration, and Altovis fights fatigue.
Headquartered in Cincinnati, Berkeley Premium Nutraceuticals is just 40 miles
from the Kentucky Speedway.
“Berkeley’s close proximity the Kentucky Speedway combined with
the tremendous exposure that Enzyte, Rogisen and Altovis will receive from
one of the premier Busch Series races make this sponsorship opportunity a natural,” said
Holigan, who formed Holigan Racing this year. He had been a successful NASCAR
Cup Team sponsor a few years ago, and has utilized that knowledge to build
strong sponsorship programs for his NASCAR Busch Series and AMA Motocross teams.
“We feel we’re going to get off to a great start the week before
when Regan Smith runs his first race for us at Nashville,” he added. “In
testing in Charlotte we found him to be smooth and very fast. We’re really
excited with him joining us.”
Holigan also changed his planned schedule to accentuate Team Enzyte’s
preparations for a full 2005 season. The team added a race to the originally
planned 15-event schedule too.
“We are concentrating on the one-to-two mile speedways, since that is
where most of the Busch Series races run,” states Holigan. “This
will keep us focused on improving our cars and team, and additional seat time
for our driver.”
The settling of Smith into the driver’s seat enabled Holigan to put
together the history-making Kentucky marketing program.
“One company having three quality brands promoted on three different
race cars in a single race is a first,” Holigan said, “and we think
it’s going to be a terrific program for Berkeley. Stanton and Shawna
are both experienced drivers and have both enjoyed success in stock car racing.
Their cars, along with Regan’s, will be important from a marketing standpoint
but also from a morale standpoint since so many Berkeley employees and friends
will be at Kentucky for the race.
“The brands are ideal sponsors for Holigan racing, too. As important
as night vision is at Kentucky, what’s a more appropriate sponsor for
a race car – and supplement for a driver – than Rogisen? And, with
endurance being critical to racing success, Altovis’s fatigue-fighting
properties will give our drivers an important edge. Finally, Enzyte, the first
male supplement to sponsor a racing team, naturally fits with the large male
audience that NASCAR enjoys in the grandstands and on television.”
