Looking For A Solid Run At Richmond

Hellmann’s Centennial Chevrolet Camaro

“We had a good run at Richmond in the spring. I think we learned a lot of solid information that we can bring back there. I know personally, it was one of my best performances there and we’ll do our best to improve. You always want to maximize your points at every race, but as a team, we’re still focused on winning races. There are still nine races to go and we have a lot of strong tracks coming up where we run well. “Short-track racing is a challenge and this is one of the final two we have left on the schedule, so everyone will be fighting for every inch. You may see some drivers more aggressive than others but it should be a lot of fun.”

Smith and the No. 7 team scored their season-best short track effort at Richmond earlier this year, finishing fifth. It’s one of five top-five finishes Smith has on the year. Additionally, the effort was also Smith’s career best at the facility.

Smith and the 7 team will bring chassis No. 774 to Richmond. Smith owns one top five and three top-10 finishes with this chassis in the four races (California, Charlotte, Kentucky and Las Vegas) it’s competed in this year.
