Lionel Racing Golden Ticket Chevrolet

Smith’s No. 7 Chevrolet will sport Lionel Racing’s Golden Ticket Contest at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend. Simply by purchasing a 2014 Lionel die-cast, more than 700 fans could be eligible for prizes if they find a golden ticket with their die-cast. The lucky recipients of the golden tickets can win everything from race-used sheet metal to autographed fire suites, even driver meet and greets. The Golden Ticket promotion runs through 2014.  “I think everyone is itching to get back to the racetrack at this point. It’s nice to have a couple weeks off, but a lot of our sport is about momentum and it becomes difficult to carry that over through a two-week break. We have three races left and our 7 team is focused on ending strong and getting a win or two before the season is out.

“We’re excited to have Lionel Racing and its Golden Ticket contest on the 7 car this weekend. They are running a cool program next year, where if fans buy a 2014 die-cast they have the chance to win a bunch of extra prizes if they find a golden ticket inside. Should be a lot of fun.”

Fans can now vote for Regan Smith in this year’s Nationwide Series Most Popular Driver Program (MPD). Voting is open at and continues through the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway, but is limited to one vote per 24 hours.

JRM snagged a trio of top-10 finishes with its three-car team of Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kasey Kahne and Smith in its last outing at Texas Motor Speedway.

With three races remaining in the 2013 Nationwide Series schedule, JRM’s season tally stands at two wins (Michigan International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway), 13 top-five and 31 top-10 finishes. The team has led 284 laps and raced with nine drivers, including Smith, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeffrey Earnhardt, Ron Fellows, Jimmie Johnson, Kasey Kahne, Jamie McMurray, Johnny O’Connell and Brad Sweet.

Smith and the 7 team will race chassis No. 800 at Texas. Smith scored his most recent victory with this chassis at Michigan in June. The chassis also raced at Indianapolis and Chicago (September) and Kansas, where Smith led a season-high 81 laps.
